In the recent movie The Bucket List, Jack Nicholson and Morgan Freeman play characters who have discovered they both have terminal illnesses. Upon learning this, they make a list of things they want to do before they die and then they set off to check things off their list.
This is such a great metaphor for life. One of the main concepts of becoming a sage is to embrace our own mortality. As Morrie says in Tuesdays with Morrie, "When you know how to die, you know how to live." What would be on your bucket list? Stay tuned for my list.
